Miranda and David have ventured
out again with their yacht TABOO.
This yacht is fast and luxurious. She has all the
Hartstones’ experience of successful chartering built into her extreme comfort and
strengths. Her sheer size and speed will definitely impress you. A beautiful Hi-Tech
schooner with every navigational aid made today fitted aboard her and a galley that is far
beyond the bounds expected on any yacht.
At last you can control your own vacation if you so
desire. You can sail an 85 foot Maxi Yacht. Take the 6’ helm, and watch the speed
exceed 20 knots on some points of sail. You can be involved, or let the crew of four do
everything for you while you watch the islands of the Caribbean go by. Whichever way, You
will be sailing on one of the most exciting sailboats in the World!
Miranda and David’s last yacht, Whakatane, was one
of the most successful charter yachts in the Caribbean.
TABOO is fully air-conditioned,
and each of her five staterooms has a luxurious en-suite shower and toilet facility. There is
forty pounds of water pressure, and special shower heads are fitted to suit varying
needs. Plenty of hot water, of course!

Each stateroom is fitted with a TV, VCR, telephone/intercom, radio,
hair dryer, fans, A/C and a queen sized double berth. There is an upper single in the
midship staterooms (as pictured above).

David, with 20+ years experience in the music/entertainment business in London and New York,
has an ear for almost any conversation and can tell quite a few tales himself. With David’s
many Atlantic crossings and sailing trips all around New Zealand, England and the Channel
Islands, not to mention 25 years of sailing in the Caribbean, you are assured of total
safety and confidence aboard TABOO.
With David at the helm, you can relax. His only
qualification: EXPERIENCE!
For twenty years, Miranda and David have been taking
crewed sailing vacations seriously and now believe that they are starting to get the knack
of it. They offer a very tidy show aboard TABOO. They know what you want to see
(in most instances) and Miranda knows what you want to eat (in all cases)! Her past
experience in designing menus and buying food for large Vancouver hotels may help to
explain why 85% of the charter guests return again and again.
