Take a sailing adventures on the Schooner Roseway! She's a fast and able vessel.
Recently conferred the status of National Historic Landmark, Roseway's the last of the
famous Gloucester Grand Banks fishing schooners, and completely refitted for passenger
service. A windjammer adventure on the Roseway is the original "eco-tour". And
it's one of the most unique and economical vacations you'll find as well. We try to offer
a variety of trips to suit every time and budget consideration.
Which ever trip you choose you'll join a wonderful group of like-minded travelers with
just one thing in mind.....to get away from life's hustle and bustle for just a while; to
return to a simpler, quieter way of life.
The Roseway has been operating as a passenger carrying windjammer since 1975 when she
was refitted for the trade with fourteen comfortable cabins. Her large, beautiful main
saloon was retained for dining & socializing. Come and enjoy a proud vessel that has
sailed the seas for most of this century. Stand on her solid decks with a good breeze
abeam, the wheel in your grasp, and you'll understand the greatness of the Essex schooners
as you sail into history.
On arrival at the ship, you'll be welcomed aboard by our friendly crew and shown to
your cabin to stow your gear and get settled in. After introductions and orientation by
the Captain, we'll set sail according to our schedule.
