Impulse enjoys approximately half the year in both yachting playgrounds, December to April in the Caribbean and June to October in the Mediterranean. And for the true sailor, the Transatlantic crossing is the epitome of sailing experiences - either traveling eastbound to Europe or westward to the Caribbean.

In the Caribbean, a touch of exotic spice is in the air and white sand and clear waters stretch before you as Impulse island hops at your pleasure, anchoring at your whim. Experience the majestic passages of the Leeward Islands, the pristine shorelines of the Grenadines and the magic of the Treasure Islands.

The Mediterranean is justly famed for its glittering capitals, ancient civilizations and cultured ambiance. It is a world of mythical and tranquil seas and your choice of sun warmed beaches, from the Cote d'Azur, the Balearics, to the Greek Islands.

 Probably the most successful yacht of her generation, this Philippe Briand designed 62-foot 'maxi' was launched in 1994. Designed and equipped for luxury and comfort, Impulse is fast and exciting to sail and, when a lazy day is wanted away from the rigging, able to cruise effortlessly under power.

Impulse has spacious accommodation for six guests, in two double-bed cabins and one twin-bed cabin, each enjoying the privacy of its own en-suite head and shower.
The yacht is fully air conditioned and, with on board power generation and water making plant, there is a plentiful supply of fresh water.

The large airy saloon is superbly appointed with comfort in mind with video and hi-fi, and a dining and cocktail area, while the wide open cockpit gives al fresco living with clear, uncluttered decks for sun bathing.

The aft raised bathing platform is a popular space for recreation and includes an outside shower and barbecue. Impulse offers water skiing and the equipment to enable you to snorkel and fish. Also, you have the use of the yacht's video camera to share and relive these happy days on your return home.

Equipped with the latest navigation, sailing instruments and safety equipment, Impulse gives you the freedom of choice to go wherever you wish.

The skipper and hostess extend to you a personal and friendly service which is second to none. You can help the skipper sail the yacht or just sit back and enjoy the experience while the cordon bleu cook prepares for you the next delicacy.

Your Captains

Your Captain Chris Jackman, a former Merchant Mariner and English Police Officer, has been sailing professionally for the past 14 years. Chris, an Ocean Yacht Master Instructor, has logged over 75,000 miles including a single-handed transAtlantic, several Fastnet races and 7 years of sailing the waters of the Caribbean and Mediterranean seas. In that time he has acquired vast experience of all aspects of sailing life including local knowledge of the areas where Impulse sails, which he is more than happy to share.

Caroline Yandle, Impulse’s onboard chef, has a repertoire of dishes to challenge any chef of international standing. She is very talented and has a marvelous imagination when it comes to cuisine and will quite happily cater to any taste, from the basics to the exotic and can accommodate any special diet.

In addition to Caroline’s exceptional talents in the galley, she is also the First Mate on Impulse and an RYA qualified Yacht Master Instructor. With 13 years professional sea-going experience, 6 of those years alongside Chris, and numerous ocean crossings to her credit, you will be able to rest assured that not only are you in safe and experienced hands, but you will eat very well indeed!
