Hitauk's hull was built at Boelte's Shipyard in Rendsburg, Germany, acquired by a German entrepreneur from Hamburg, Germany. 

The ship changed hands again and  Arno and Petra Hess had the good ship completely overhauled and equipped in 1995 with the latest safety devices.  TOTALLY UPDATED & UPGRADED AGAIN!!!  2004

The Hitauk's overall length is 62 feet. It proudly features a sturdy hull of 40 tons and is rigged with gaff and ketch sails. 

Inside the yacht there are two guest cabins that are each equipped with a large queen bed. Additional guests (a family of up to 6 members) can be accommodated in the wheel house salon which converts to a king berth.

There is a large modern bathroom, shower and WC. Thanks to an independent hot water supply, guests are free to take a shower whenever they want.
The spacious wheel house salon with its modern  living room and dining corner, as well as the cozy quarter-deck saloon provide roomy lounging space.

Arno and Petra Hess
Your Captain and Chef

Captain Arno Hess and his wife, Petra, are the owners and operators of this unique charter yacht. Arno is 38 years old and comes from Switzerland. An engineer by profession, with motor-cycle-racing as his hobby. Arno was part owner with his father in a sportswear company which manufactured and sold specialist sportswear for professionals. When his father bought Hitauk, Arno rebuild her into this luxury cruiser. Now his second hobby, sailing, became his profession! As a qualified captain with a 400 ton license, Arno brought Hitauk across the Atlantic to the Virgin Islands. He has captained charters here with his yacht for over 9 years. As an experienced dive-instructor, he loves to teach his guests scuba diving and to show the beauties of the undersea world.

His wife, Petra, 37 years old, is from Germany. She started working professionally in restaurants when she was 19 years old and soon became the owner of restaurants in Germany. Being a chef, she loves catering her guests on Hitauk and transforms the yacht into an intimate, floating hotel. Petra has been the featured chef in many national and local gourmet food publications.

Apart from cooking, she's also a whiz at making cocktails. She won third prize in the International Cocktail Championship in Germany! As an Assistant Dive Instructor, Petra loves to assist Arno with diving and to guide their guests around the wonderful dive sites in the BVI.

Arno and Petra's experience and their deep passion for the beauty of the sea and these tropical islands is a guarantee for a great time and a relaxing vacation!

Guest Accommodations are in Yellow - a King and a Queen Cabin.  The Main Salon can convert to a third sleeping area.  Guest Refrigerator is located in the forward companionway.

The aft swimming platform invites all guests to relax and enjoy the sun.
