The Salon is divided into 4 sections each with it's own function. The overall effect is to provide guests with the ability to have an uncluttered common area which allows individuals an opportunity of pursuing there activities in the company of other guests. The Salon contains a horseshoe table with ample seating for 8 people. It is also well suited for game playing or just relaxing. Across from the large table is a two-seat couch designed for reading comfort and relaxation. This area provides easy access to the cockpit door and can be used when the sliding door is opened as a convenient extension to the cockpit. Just in front of the reading couch is a galley up wet bar with refrigerator, sinks, stove and storage areas. This permits easy access to cold drinks and snacks during the day and secludes the process of preparation from the quieter cabin areas

The final and most unique section of the salon is the helm station. This interior navigation center has excellent visibility and is equipped with a comfortable sitting and work area with over 20 square feet of counter space. It contains easy access to a full set of instrumentation and controls and is fully equipped with a state of the art computer work station and high resolution monitor that is integrated with the instrumentation and a full suite of Microsoft Office applications. This interior space is separately air conditioned with a state of the art stereo CD providing excellent acoustics.

A Video/TV system which provides a large screen high resolution stereo image has been integrated into the Salon. The projector can be used alone or in conjunction with the stereo for a fantastic viewing experience. The system uses a retractable screen that is stored out of the way when not in use. The image measures over 50' diagonally and is easy to view from the comfortable table or couch positions in the Salon.

The layout of EQUITY is optimized to achieve spacious and quiet comfort. The design includes extensive air conditioning throughout the vessel with individual guest controls, expansive master salon and master cabin, and level trampoline foredeck for sun bathing comfort. EQUITY has been built for cruising with a host of activity experiences organized to give you with a learning opportunity while on vacation.

Each cabin has been designed with privacy and comfort in mind. The cabins are separated from each other by more than 14 ft of space and are all secured by solid cabin doors. A desk is available in each for writing or cosmetics. The beds in EQUITY are both large and exceedingly comfortable. Firm mattresses are supported by a frame of battens allowing compatible movement as well as a firm contour. All beds have been designed with low access to facilitate the easy entry and exit. Ample storage is available in each cabin and hull for both hanging and shelved storage.

Equity  is a rewarding yacht to sail. Over 4 years of design and building experience have gone into the Marquise line. Fontaine Pajot is the only catamaran manufacturer who has grown over 100% in the last 3 years. The Marquise is their 'top of the line' cruising catamaran and  Equity has been uniquely adapted to provide spacious living quarters and speed. Sailing in excess of 10 - 15 knots is common in this fast and easy to sail catamaran. The twin Yanmar engines provide cruising speeds of 10-12 knots to help quickly transport guests to their special locations of interest.

Equity is equipped with a 1700 square foot mainsail and self tacking Jib for a hassle free sailing experience. The cockpit helm has excellent visibility and includes electric winches for those times when relaxation rather than exercise is the goal. As a result of the design that includes a large mainsail and smaller jib. The Marquise easily heads up wind and allows sailing courses that many other large catamarans simply cannot navigate.

The Crew of Equity
Tony & Kate as Captain & Chef were chosen for their competent sailing skills and vast experience catering to a wide variety of charter guests and possess great hospitality skills to care for a variety of guests. Tony & Kate are PADI certified scuba divers who in enjoy the water and are ready to assist with the various water sports equipment provided on EQUITY. Kate as Chef has worked in the food industry and is ready to spoil you with her culinary delights. While we believe that a world-class yacht is required for a successful charter vacation, we are quick to add that a top crew is absolutely necessary for the experience to be rewarding and complete.



Tony Trappe, captain of EQUITY and managing director of Catamaran Vacations Limited, has been chartering in the Caribbean for 6 years. Since 1990 he has owned his own yacht cruising Europe, Africa, South America, the Caribbean and the USA. Tony has both RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore & Ocean Certification. Tony & Kate's extensive charter experience include working for The Moorings as Captain & Chef for 4 years. Besides a wealth of experience, Tony & Kate bring excellent communication & hospitality skills and they are both charming, fun and great company to make a charter on EQUITY one worth doing! They are both very approachable, and always prepared to assist and participate in all of EQUITY'S activities. Your vacation is as important to them as it is to you allowing you to relax in the knowledge that you are in safe hands.
