Enjoy cuisine prepared and served by your Chef in the airy saloon or in the
spacious cockpit, while others can relax on two large sun tanning mattresses and twin
trampolines. This generous use of warm golden cherry wood and fine cabinetry work
throughout, places this vessel in a class of its own.
Chateau is a luxurious 42' Privilege catamaran French built to the highest standards.
Privilege cats are widely considered the Rolls Royce of the worlds catamarans and the
42'
was voted "cruising multihull of the year."
Catamarans are renowned for their comfort, stability and incredible roominess.
Chateau's owner/operators, Ross and Janet, fell in love with her the moment they saw her
and now she is their "castle" on the sea. She is both exhilarating and exotic,
sailing at double digit speeds in the warm Caribbean tradewinds and beautifully appointed
with rich cherry woods... Gorgeous!
There are three very private and spacious double guest staterooms decorated in a
playful tropical decor, each with its own head, sink and shower. Chateau has many opening
hatches and ports to fill the cabins with fragrant Caribbean breezes. The bright and
cheery main salon is at cockpit level with all around visibility and not steps to clamber
up and down
.
For sun worshippers there are two large trampolines forward, two sunbeds skirting the
cockpit and two pulpit seats where you can watch the graceful bows cut through the water
or perhaps spot dolphins frolicking in your wake.
If shade is your calling the expansive bimini covers the entire cockpit. Share the days
pleasures and the magic of what is yet to come while sipping on a cool one in the
cushioned cockpit and around the spacious teak table. Or, take a deck chair an sit in the
shade of the sails... yes while sailing... chateau sails level!

For evenings on board Chateau there are a variety of musical instruments for your
playing or listening pleasure. A keyboard, guitar and percussion instruments. Delve into
the extensive CD and tape collection, play one of the many board games or, for those of
you who enjoy reading, there are a variety of bestsellers. There is something for
everyone.
Exotic dishes specially prepared by your chef will tempt and tantalize your senses.
Sample fine wines and liqueurs, marvelous main dishes, crisp salads, fresh baked cakes,
cookies and delectable desserts. Or, for a change of pace, visit any of the many fine
restaurants and sample the local favorites.

Ross and Janet, would like to welcome
you aboard their yacht, Chateau, for a wonderful tropical vacation with some of the finest
sailing the world has to offer. Ross and Janet hail from Victoria, British
Columbia on Canada’s west
coast. They have extensive experience sailing the Pacific Northwest both in Canadian and
American waters. Their sailing travels have taken them on a one year trip down the west
coast of North America and Mexico, across to Hawaii and back home to Canada, an experience
they enjoy sharing. They love sailing and their joy is infectious.
Ross and Janet have a wealth of experience in the entertainment and service industries
and have traveled extensively throughout Europe and North America. Before entering the
charter industry in Victoria in 1989, Ross was a teacher and a musician. He has taught all
subjects to all elementary grades and music at all undergraduate levels. Ross is a sailing
instructor, with 20 years experience and thousands of miles under his keel. Ross is very
charismatic and enjoys sharing his sailing knowledge with
both novice and seasoned sailors alike.
Janet, your chef and first mate, was a small business owner before deciding to enter
the charter industry. Janet was awarded the Hospitality Award in 1996. She has an
incredible way with the foods of the world and through her travels has collected an array
of recipes that will thrill your senses... her desserts... ‘magnifique’.
Janet’s love for sailing blossomed when she met Ross twelve years ago. She has taken
numerous sailing courses and has thousands of miles sailing experience, both coastal and
offshore. She is an excellent first mate, fantastic chef and a warm bubbly hostess. Ross
and Janet will do everything possible to make this the vacation dreams are made of.
