Theo and Ursula
Breiler
Your Captain and Chef
In 1978 Theo and Ursula set sail from the Mediterranean with one goal in
mind, to reach the Caribbean. After 21 glorious days at sea they landed on
the island of Martinique on their 96 foot wooden topsail schooner, the "Isla de Ibiza".

The "Isla de Ibiza" could easily handle 12 guests and 4 crew, keeping Ursula
especially busy in the galley. "Isla de Ibiza" was a fine sailing vessel, passengers
loved this old-timer as she sailed throughout the Caribbean. It was on the
"Isla de Ibiza" that Theo and Ursula first sailed into the harbor of Charlotte
Amalie in November of 1980. She was sold in1988 for a smaller sailing ketch
named the "Jubilee".
With the Jubilee they enjoyed six more years of successful chartering throughout the Virgin Islands. In 1994 they decided to take a vacation and
sold Jubilee. They were later to learn she went down during hurricane Marilyn.
Theo and Ursula purchased some property and built a house in the Dominican Republic. Life on land was good for a while, but soon they began
missing their sailing adventures and the people they met.
After all, a house can't sail, so they sold their house and traveled to Germany
to begin work on
Cat Maudy, their dream boat. In July of 2000, after three
years, she was launched. The trans-Atlantic voyage on board Cat Maudy
took them from Hamburg through the Canary Islands, Cape Verde and on
down to Trinidad and on to the Virgin Islands. The trip of 6100 miles through
good and bad weather taught them a lot about Cat Maudy. She's a safe and fast sailing catamaran.
Ursula loves to cook wonderful meals and bakes bread daily on board. She
is quite an artist in the galley. She'll be happy to
prepare meals that meet your dietary needs.
With over 20 years of chartering experience in the Caribbean, Theo and Ursula offer
knowledgeable journeys to the ports of your dreams. Let them show you all
the beautiful beaches, bays and locations throughout the Virgin Islands.
