Walter
Wegmann, from Zurich, Switzerland
|
Walter,
49, is
a 400 ton licensed captain since over 20 years and a Swiss
licensed and certified mechanic as well a PADI certified
dive-instructor with an experience of over 7000 dives.
During
a very cold and rainy summer in Europe in 1987, Walter went to
the Dominican Republic for a dive vacation . He loved it and
stayed to open one of the first European dive schools which he
ran successfully for five years and it does still exist today,
owned now by hes best Swiss friend.
Never
he stopped dreaming from the perfect Dive & Relax Vacation
solution. A catamaran as a floating hotel and dive base.
|
|
| And
the
dream
came true
|
|
| In
1991 he went to France and bought the Belline ll. After
customizing the Catamaran, he set sail through the Biscay to the
Mediterranean sea where he cruised along the French coast, the
Balearic Islands , Gibraltar and the Grand Canaries . From there
Walter and his crew set sails for a cross Atlantic cruise .
They
had a wonderful quiet time across, and made landfall in the
BVI's 21 days later. Walter and his crew thought they where the
next Columbus in Paradise when they found that the beer at
Pusser's Landing on the dock was only a nickel! (What they
didn't know was they had landed on a Thursday, when Pusser's Pub
was celebrating a special "Nickel-Nite").
Walter
is a well known captain/chef in the charter business since a
successfully 15 years. Over two thousand guests had the pleasure
to experience an unforgettable vacation, blowing their first
bubbles under water and spotting their first tropical fishes
too. Many guests return year after year, read the guest letters.
One
of his preferred moments is in the evening when he finds the
time to create a wonderful meal and spoil you with one of the
daily creations of tropical drinks. Some of his favorite meals
need to be prepared each time for repeat guests they love it so
much.
Because
of his many skills other charter boaters call him,
"Walter-will-fix-it", he always has a helping hand, no
matter if mechanical or if its just a dash of salt

Melissa's
passion for food and travel stems from her upbringing in
Indiana. Growing up, her father often took the family on
vacations to discover new places and new adventures.

fueled her interest in cooking by hosting family get-togethers.
Mel started experimenting on her own, and used her family and
friends as taste-testers.
As her skills grew
so did her menus and creativity. |
After
graduating from indiana University with a Communications degree,

She has also managed a Starbucks, and her last position before
moving to the Caribbean found her once again in a restaurant to
continue her passion and knowledge of food and wine.
|
Throughout
her experience, Melissa has tried to determine how to
incorporate in her two passions of food and travel.
She finds that cooking on a yacht for guests is the best outlet
for her creativity and in her opinion, nothing is more
satisfying than seeing people truly enjoying themselves, knowing
she's helped them get there. |
Mel's
cuisine ranges from International to American home style.
Her Midwest hospitality is legendary. Each party has to be
perfect, the dishes must look and taste phenomenal, and ensures
her menus are a reflection of her guests tastes. |

Dear future guest,
The food is one of the BIG highlights on Belline II. We love to cook and taste new and different meals but tastes are different !
Therefore we try to serve you better with our Sampling Menu in
order to avoid confusions and disappointments on both sides the galley slave and
our very dear guests.
You will see what we can surprise you with out of our small
galley and hope we hit all kinds of tastes possible . There is a wide palette
of local, traditional and Mediterranean specialties in our menu list, most of
them have a long tradition on Belline II .
Please take your time and speak with your companions about the
choice of your meals . Choose menus for 6-7 days just like in a restaurant
starting with lunch, appetizers, main course, side dish and of course dessert (
see sample ) and provide it to your Charter Broker a.s.a.p. in order to make
sure all will be stocked for you ! First day lunch, one main course and the last
evening dinner will be arranged by us according to fit your itinerary . The last
evening we will surprise you with an authentic Swiss dinner in the tradition
which you will love as many others before you too ! Curious ?
Since our galley is a small place you will understand that we
cannot prepare different meals at the same time . But for sure we can adjust to
dislikes or avoid allergic problems simple with substituting an ingredient or
e.g. sword fish with chicken breast . Just let us know in advance and we will
take care of it !
So , now get ready to enjoy an exciting "Tour de
Food" and feel like a god in France
PS: Please dont forget to have a
look at our assorted Wine & Bar list. Let us know what we shall stock for
you, brand and quantities.
Walter & crew
Bon
Appetite
